First Monday of the month at Shane’s Rib Shack in Enterprise
What is your favorite type of GS activity (STEM, Outdoor, Entrepreneurship, Life Skills) A little bit of everything to keep it interesting.
What is your SU's claim to fame?
Our Service Unit works as a team. We share tasks and responsibilities among us. This way we avoid overwhelming any individual. At the beginning of this Scout year our Service Unit started a Girl Representative Program giving us direct input from their perspective. It blossomed into something incredible at our last SU meeting. The girls have formed their own little council, calling themselves Juliette's Pearls! Their voices will now shape our meetings directly, making a real impact.
What do you look forward to the most in your role with the SU? We are excited about the possibility of supporting troop leaders and volunteers in their efforts to provide meaningful experiences for girls. Whether it's offering guidance, resources, or encouragement.
What achievement are you most proud of when it comes to Girl Scouts?
It's truly heartwarming to see how our troop has grown and evolved over the years. From those early days when the girls were little Daisies, filled with excitement and curiosity, to the present moment, where they've blossomed into confident and capable young women. I love looking back at pictures, which brings back a flood of memories, capturing the journey of friendship, learning, and growth that they all share together. Each picture tells a story of camaraderie, and the joy of sisterhood.
What is your favorite memory with Girl Scouts, either as a girl member, a Troop leader, or in a SU role?
Our troop has had an incredible journey filled with unforgettable adventures and cherished memories! From adventurous sleepovers on battleships to festive Christmas gatherings and fun-filled food fights. It is hard to just pick one memory with so many incredible memories and experiences. But I wouldn't have all those great memories without an amazing co-leader and partner in crime.
