Each year, GSSA provides the Girl Scouting experience to more than 1,500 girls in southern Alabama through the Girl Scouts In School Program.
Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama provides girls in grades K–6 with programming during the school day. Our comprehensive educational programs address STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), health, community service, financial literacy, relationship and communication skills, arts and the humanities, as well as life skills such as online safety and anti-bullying.
Girl Scouts In School Programs are supported by grant funding, public and private donations, and dedicated community volunteers.
Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama staff will hosts monthly meetings at local schools during P.E. time, where girls will participate in Girl Scout activities, including the cookie program!
