Visit the Gogue Performing Arts Center for an afternoon at the
theatre!
Created in 2008, Catapult is former Pilobolus member
Adam Battelstein's take on ancient Chinese shadow theatre, using
bodies instead of puppets. Nothing is left open for interpretation.
Accessible to all, the wordless stories transcend language delivering
the message clearly and ably.
Catapult was propelled into public
awareness during its appearance on America's Got Talent in 2013. The
company uses acrobatics, tumbling, balance and contortions to cast
shapes behind a giant screen.
For its Gogue Center appearance,
Catapult will perform a program of works, including "Four
Seasons," "Berlin Wall," "Milestones,"
"Spy," "Angel Heart," "Bullies,"
"Go West" and "A Traveller's Tale."
This
family show is open to all ages and tagalongs! The theatre doors open
at 2:30 for guests to be seated, and showtime is 3:00pm. The doors to
the Gogue open at 2:00pm and a fun exhibit from the Natural History
Museum will be on display in the lobby. Concessions will be available
for purchase in the lobby but cannot be brought into the
theatre.
