Let's get back to basics! Join Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama at Kamp Kiwanis for the Back to Basics Camporee! Enjoy traditional camp activities like swimming, boating, hiking, target sports, and arts-n-crafts. Learn and practice outdoor skills like fire building, knot tying, orienteering, pitching a tent, and more.
Your registration includes: a custom fun patch, a Camporee
t-shirt, two nights at camp, all camp activities, skills lessons with
specialized Presenters, and Dinner on Saturday night.
Friday at
camp is an optional extra night of fun, and the main festivities kick
off Saturday morning. There will be a Check-in period on Friday night
and Saturday morning to accommodate those arriving at different times.
Participants have the option to bring their own tent to pitch
or they will be assigned a platform tent or cabin to stay in.
Participants must bring in their own supplies and ingredients for all
meals except Dinner on Saturday night will be provided. All Units have
a fire ring and a small kitchenette to be used for cooking meals. A
detailed packing list and more information will be sent out closer to
time.
