This is a two-part event, and you can sign up for just one or both trainings.
Part I: GSSA Archery Training includes an online pre-course as well
as an in-person practical course and skills test. This GSSA
certification enables adult volunteers to facilitate archery at GSSA
properties. A pre-course will be assigned to you to complete prior to
attending the in-person practical course and skills test.
Part II: GSSA Axe Throwing is a practical course and includes a skills
test. This GSSA certification enables adult volunteers to facilitate
axe-throwing activities at GSSA properties. GSSA's Axe Throwing
Certification requires a range safety pre-course, which may be
fulfilled by completing GSSA Archery Training. This part of the
training will also include instruction on leading slingshots for
girls, which is an excellent introduction to Target Sports for our
youngest members!
